Leeds United are now flying in the transfer market, and this week is set to be a busy one in terms of incomings.
Daniel Farke needs to strengthen Leeds if they are to survive in the Premier League. As a result, supporters would have been frustrated by the slow start to the transfer window.
However, progress is now being made at Elland Road.
Leeds need extra quality all over the pitch, and while a striker and goalkeeper are the priorities, the Whites are now set to reinforce their defence and midfield.
Gabriel Gudmundsson is set to undergo a medical as a new left-back, while another deal is also set to be completed in the coming days.

Chronicle Live (July 8) have now reported that Newcastle have accepted a bid from Leeds for the midfielder, who will now decide whether to leave his boyhood club for Elland Road.
Longstaff has made 214 appearances for Newcastle but struggled for game time last season as he made just eight starts in the Premier League.

Longstaff would be a strong addition for Leeds
Leeds face a tough battle to stay up, given that the promoted sides have all gone straight back down in each of the last two Premier League seasons.
Having a player of Longstaff’s experience, coming into his prime, will be a huge boost as the Whites aim to beat the drop, and given the relatively low fee, they will be happy that Newcastle have accepted the offer.
The next step will be convincing Longstaff to join, as they have with Gudmundsson and Sebastiaan Bornauw in recent weeks.
Longstaff will have a bigger role to play at Leeds, and Farke will hope he is eager enough for game time to leave the club which gave him his career.
