Manchester United’s pre-season is well underway, but the transfer rumour mill behind the scenes shows no sign of slowing down.
Ruben Amorim has already welcomed Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon into the fold as preparations intensify ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
United’s disappointing 15th-place finish last season and their Europa League heartbreak have only heightened the urgency to reshape the squad.

INEOS have promised a smarter recruitment model, focusing on value and long-term potential rather than short-term fixes or overhyped names.
And now, the focus has shifted to South America – once again.
Manchester United are reportedly monitoring the situation of Boca Juniors starlet Milton Delgado and are tipped to launch an official bid for the 20-year-old midfielder in the coming days.
According to Argentine outlet Canal 26, the Red Devils are keen to take advantage of Delgado’s changing circumstances at the Buenos Aires giants.
Milton Delgado burst onto the scene in early 2024 and looked to be cementing a place in Boca’s senior side under former coach Fernando Gago.
However, the arrival of new manager Miguel Angel Russo has changed the trajectory of his short career, with the youngster not featuring during Boca’s recent Club World Cup campaign.

This lack of game time has alerted several clubs, with United understood to be one of four monitoring the situation closely – alongside Independiente, Godoy Cruz and Club Atletico Tigre.
Delgado, who is highly rated for his composure, vision, and ball control, is valued at around €11 million (£9.4 million), but Boca are reportedly hoping for a higher fee from a European suitor.
United, who are expected to reinforce their midfield before the new campaign, see Delgado as a long-term project who could initially feature in cup competitions or go out on loan.
A move would also fall in line with the club’s current transfer strategy of targeting young talents before their value spikes.
Delgado could become the third addition of the window, and if all goes to plan, he may be boarding a flight to Manchester sooner rather than later.
