Everton are making plenty of progress on behind-the-scenes projects this summer.

Given the time of the year, it is only right that most of the focus is on recruitment plans at Everton, with a lot to be excited about this summer.

Several players have been linked with a move to Merseyside, and with a deal imminent for Thierno Barry, the Toffees are making plenty of progress on that front, though there is still a lot of work to be done in the coming weeks.

However, while plenty of focus is on that department, several others are focusing on the agreements in place when it comes to Goodison Park, with it expected to become the new home of Everton Women from this season onwards.

Goodison Park update emerges

Via Companies House (8 July), a statement was released showcasing the cessation of property in regard to Goodison Park, which is expected to become the home of Everton Women, with the men’s team set for greener pastures at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

MORE TOFFEES STORIES

Via the Esk on X, it is claimed that the share in the women’s club (company) is being released, which is believed to be “necessary” before any agreements are set in stone in regard to a full or partial “sale of the company.”

The difference in capacity between Everton’s current and new ground.

There is a lot of speculation around it, though it is believed to help with PSR rules in the Premier League, with a new parent company already set up.

Ultimately, the changes made will see some more independence added to the Women’s set up on Merseyside, with more investment expected over the coming years.

Everton Women set to benefit from Goodison Park move

First and foremost, TFG have already shown plenty of ambition with the men’s team, and that is likely to be showcased throughout the next Premier League campaign.

However, the same can be said for the women’s team, who will only benefit from being able to call Goodison Park their new home.

The increased capacity venue will generate more interest in the game, which will, in turn, generate more revenue going forward.
