Rodrygo given Arsenal transfer advice amid PSG and Man City links

Arsenal target Rodrygo has been advised to stay at Real Madrid ahead of next summer's World Cup.

The Gunners have been strongly linked with the winger this summer, amid continued speculation about his long-term future in Madrid.

Rodrygo has seen limited game time under new head coach Xabi Alonso during the FIFA Club World Cup, adding fuel to rumours of a possible exit.

Despite mixed reports, some claim the player is determined to stay and fight for his place at the Spanish giants.

Former Brazilian defender Felipe Melo also believes Rodrygo would benefit more by remaining in the Spanish capital.

"Rodrygo is a star. He's a regular in the Brazilian national team.

"I've seen interviews with teammates like [Jude] Bellingham, and even other players, who said Rodrygo has the most talent. We have to be patient because a new coach has arrived, and that means a lot of things will change.

"It's always better for him to stay at Real Madrid. But he's also won a lot of things at Madrid, and I don't know if he'll move to play for another team because it's a World Cup year.

"It's something he has to decide because there's a World Cup, and it's important for him, and even more so for Brazil, that he's in the World Cup."

Besides Arsenal, Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain and Premier League rivals Manchester City have reportedly joined Arsenal in contacting the player's entourage to express their interest.

Reports in Spain have claimed that Real are set to discuss Rodrygo's future after their Club World Cup campaign ends, with a potential asking price of around £77million.

Addressing the Brazilian's future, Los Blancos boss Alonso said: "I’m sure Rodrygo can return to his best form. I spoke with him; he’s positive, eager, and ready when needed."
