Jayson Tatum Injury: Celtics Star Posts Major Video Update Amid Rehab

Jayson Tatum is on the mend.

The Boston Celtics superstar still projects to miss most of next season due to the Achilles tear he suffered during the second round of the NBA Playoffs. However, Tatum’s rehab has progressed to the point that he’s able to walk in a pool, as evidenced by a video he shared over Fourth of July Weekend.

The video update followed another post in which Tatum shared a photo of himself in the gym with the caption, “Keep showing up JT.”

Celtics president of basketball operations Brad Stevens recently said Tatum’s been a regular at Boston’s training facility throughout the offseason. Although Stevens has sung a positive tune whenever asked about Tatum’s recovery, it would be pure speculation to suggest the 27-year-old is ahead of schedule.

Nevertheless, all signs continue pointing toward Tatum making a full recovery.

But what will the Celtics look like when Tatum is ready to return?

Boston’s already lost Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday to trades and Luke Kornet to free agency. And the Celtics might not be done enduring major suptractions to a roster that just a year ago was the best in the NBA.
