Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has run out of patience waiting for Liverpool and Manchester United, according to reports.
Speaking to TBRFootball, journalist Graeme Bailey said that the two teams have been keeping in touch with the Nigerian but the player has now decided to join Galatasaray:
“Talks have taken place, but Galatasaray are making their push and Napoli want this done now. I am told there has been contact with the likes of Liverpool and United, and whilst they like the player, a deal has just not been right for them to progress.”

“Osimhen has waited for as long as he can, but he now wants his future resolved, and that looks to be in Istanbul. He has a fantastic campaign with Galatasaray and is ready to commit.”
Galatasaray have not agreed a fee with Napoli
Although it is believed that Osimhen has reached an agreement on personal terms with the Turkish champions, there is still work to do in terms of matching Napoli’s asking price.
The Serie A side are keen for teams to match the 26-year-old’s €75m (£65m) release clause but Galatasaray’s most recent offer was €55m (£47.5m), so there is a gap to bridge between the two parties.
It means there is still time for other clubs, including the Reds, to make their move for Osimhen if they want to.
Who could Liverpool sign instead?
It does look like Arne Slot’s side are prioritising a move for Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike, but he is considerably less experienced than Osimhen and would cost more. His valuation is said to be €100m (£86m).
Newcastle’s Alexander Isak remains the dream target but the chances of him leaving St James’ Park this summer are very low.
