Manchester United’s preparations for the 2025-26 campaign are underway, with the squad now in action at Carrington.
As a heatwave strikes the UK, Manchester United are back in training ahead of the new season.
Monday saw United welcome most of the squad back to Carrington, with strength and conditioning work being done ahead of the Premier League starting next month against Arsenal.
There will be five notable United players absent from pre-season, as Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, and Tyrell Malacia have all been told to find a new club.
On Tuesday, United had several fresh faces in training, with possible 2025-26 breakout talent Shea Lacey spotted with the first team during the first on-field session of the year.
United’s two new signings were also pictured during the session.

Both were seen with smiles on their faces, being put through their paces by the United coaching staff, with Cunha in particular looking immediately like he belongs on the training ground.

Cunha has the aura of a star, even just through photos, and we cannot wait to see him in action a week on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Leon has also been seen in training, with one major observation being that the Paraguayan teenager is already physically beyond many of his teammates, which should help him impress Amorim.
In the background of images, we have spotted Lacey along with Bendito Mantato and Reece Munro, which suggests the trio are firmly in Amorim’s plans.

With the first training session completed, the coaching staff will be getting a good look at Cunha and Leon, with the Brazilian already catching the eye.

The official United website reported some insight into how the pair fared in their first session, noting that Cunha had wowed in training.
“Leon and fellow new signing Matheus Cunha appeared to settle in quickly, with the latter’s finishing impressing. He already seemed at ease with his new teammates.”
Amorim will have been delighted while watching Cunha’s excellent finishing in training, considering how terrible United had been in front of the goal last season.
Hopefully, this will reflect beyond training, and he will be immense in front of goal starting in the first game of pre-season next weekend against Leeds United.
