Everton have decided to re-sign Leeds United forward Jack Harrison on one condition this transfer window.

The 28-year-old moved to Goodison Park after the Whites’ Premier League relegation and spent two seasons with the Toffees before returning to Elland Road.

Harrison is on the radar at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with The Friedkin Group (TFG) hoping to assemble a competitive squad for the upcoming campaign.

David Moyes trusted the Leeds star after taking over from Sean Dyche, and it looks like the Scottish manager wants him back at the Blues.

Everton interested in free transfer for Harrison from Leeds

Harrison would be of interest to the Toffees if Leeds let him leave for free, according to BBC Sport.

The news outlet reports (8 July) that the Blues would like to sign the Englishman, who has three years remaining on his current deal, if he becomes available on a free transfer.

It’s been claimed that cutting a deal or paying up the 28-year-old’s contract would have implications regarding the Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) for the West Yorkshire outfit.

While the forward’s future at Elland Road is unclear, it remains to be seen whether the Merseyside outfit can get him in a bargain deal.

Moyes should push for more transfers soon at Bramley-Moore Dock

Villarreal striker Thierno Barry could soon be the Toffees’ first signing of the ongoing transfer window.

The French centre-forward will provide much-needed reinforcement in the Blues’ attack after Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Armando Broja’s departures.

Moyes will undoubtedly want further additions in the Merseyside outfit’s squad before the start of next season in the Premier League, as they travel to Elland Road on 18 August.

Some might argue that Everton’s decision to secure Jarrad Branthwaite’s new contract could be seen as their most important business this summer, but further additions are still needed to the team.

The Toffees evidently need a new right-back despite Seamus Coleman staying, and further additions up front should also be prioritised.

Harrison played a big part in the Blues’ success under Moyes in the previous campaign, and his return seems like a no-brainer.

It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the Englishman, as the prospect of Leeds letting him leave for free seems complicated.
