Joe Burrow Does Not Hide His Unusual Obsession on Netflix's 'Quarterback 2'

In the second season of Netflix's 'Quarterback' docuseries, the cameras follow Atlanta's Kirk Cousins, who appeared in the show's first season, as well as Detroit's Jared Goff and Cincinnati's Joe Burrow.

Burrow, who grew up in Ohio, was featured in a clip shared to Netflix Sports' X account to promote the release of the new season, which covers the trio of signal-callers during the 2024 NFL season.

In October 2024, Burrow is seen at a practice chatting with a Bengals' staff member and teammates about a recent museum visit.

"Somehow, there's this one fossil that proved Darwin's theory of evolution. It's called the Archaeopteryx. There's like 12 of them in the world. We got to see one of those and we got to see the little old lady that freaking works on it. Grinding."

Burrow went to The Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, Illinois. One of the largest museums in the world, one permanent exhibition is Sue, the Tyrannosaurus Rex, measuring at 40.5 feet long and 13 feet tall at the hips. The fossil is estimated to be 67 million years old.

"We went to the natural history museum. They took us behind the scenes and showed us some really cool stuff. It's like a library of fossils that they don't show everybody else... It was pretty sick.

"Why were fossils on my mind," Burrow wondered aloud. I don't know, cause they're cool. When aren't fossils on your mind? They go back millions of years. That's sick."

'Quarterback 2' is now available to stream on Netflix.
