Aston Villa are “desperate” to keep hold of both Morgan Rogers and Jacob Ramsey this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
That is despite the fact that the pair could bring in over £100million between them if the Midlands giants decide to sell.
Unai Emery wants to retain his best players ahead of the upcoming campaign, with Rogers and Ramsey falling into that category.
Villa could instead sell superstar goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez or top goalscorer Ollie Watkins, as well as some of their fringe players, to raise funds and allow them to keep their other stars.

Villa to sell fringe players instead of stars
Last season, both Ramsey and Rogers were key to Emery’s system, with the pair picking up 22 Premier League goal contributions between them.
Instead of letting such important players depart, Aston Villa could look to move on the likes of Leander Dendoncker and Louie Barry in order to fund their transfer budget.

Barry was set to move to Hull City last month, but the move fell through after the Tigers were placed under a transfer embargo.
Villa have already begun clearing some of the fringe players out of their squad, selling Kaine Kesler-Hayden to Coventry for a fee of around £3.5m

Port Vale and Blackpool ready bids for Aston Villa’s Marschall
Port Vale and Blackpool are readying bids for Aston Villa goalkeeper Filip Marschall, sources have told Football Insider.
The 22-year-old spent the last season in League Two with Crewe Alexandra, having previously had stints with MK Dons and Gateshead.
League One duo Port Vale and Blackpool are interested in either loan or permanent deals for Marschall as they look to bolster their goalkeeping options before the start of the new season.
Villa are willing to offload the keeper, who has struggled for promotion to the first team, where Emiliano Martinez is the long-established number one.
The Englishman made his senior debut for Villa in December 2023, starting in a 1-1 draw against Bosnian side HŠK Zrinjski in the UEFA Conference League.
