Leeds United have made no secret of the fact that they want to sign a new goalkeeper this summer.

A deal for Gabriel Gudmundsson has been announced, while negotiations for Sean Longstaff are believed to be progressing, though there will still be plenty of work left for the Whites to do.

Attacking reinforcements are going to be a necessity, though it seems as though Leeds are currently casting their net to sign a new goalkeeper this week.

Lyon’s Lucas Perri is one to have been linked with a move to Elland Road, as is Torino’s Vanja Milinković-Savić, with a new, promising update emerging on the future of the latter.

Standing at over two metres tall, Milinković-Savić certainly seems like a good fit for the Whites, given their transfer approach so far this summer.

And a deal for the shot-stopper could be on the cards, with Napoli said to be deliberating over the price.

That is according to a report in the print edition of the Corriere del Mezzogiorno (8 July, pg11), which claimed that the Serie A giants are put off by the release clause set at £16.8million.

Leeds, on the other hand, remain interested, and given their ability to offer the Torino keeper regular Premier League football, they may hold an upper hand when it comes to negotiating with the player.

Daniel Farke needs to see movement this week

Aside from Jaka Bijol, Leeds are yet to add anyone to their squad who can raise the ceiling ahead of their return to the Premier League.

Instead, the focus seems to have been on raising the floor, which can be a good thing if the former comes next.

Signing a goalkeeper and a striker have to be the next two priorities for the Whites, with several other additions needed elsewhere if Daniel Farke is to succeed.
