A Liverpool cult hero has stunned fans with a move to Iceland.

Steven Caulker, who turned out for Liverpool in 2016, has signed for Icelandic top tier team Stjarnan. Caulker, 33, has been hailed by Icelandic media as "one of the biggest transfers in the history of Icelandic football".

Stjarnan announced the signing on social media with a cheeky video of Caulker touching down on the volcanic island with a mask before walking through the airport. Caulker then reveals his face after opening a locker in a changing room covered in smoke.

"Fair play he goes where the games are, had some random moves over the years," one fan posted.
