Paul Scholes noticed the standout potential of one Manchester United-linked player and Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim could now bring him to Old Trafford this summer.
Ruben Amorim has a long-term project in place at Old Trafford and the 40-year-old Manchester United manager needs to acquire the ‘right’ players for his system.
The ex-Sporting CP head coach welcomed the arrivals of Patrick Dorgu and Ayden Heaven during the January transfer window in the 2024-25 Premier League season.
Amorim has now been able to add further United first-team squad depth and talent among his ranks amid his first summer transfer window at the Red Devils.
The Red Devils already made one marquee signing for the Portuguese coach in June, with United landing Matheus Cunha from Wolves for a £62.5m transfer fee.
Joining Matheus Cunha at Old Trafford this summer is emerging talent Diego Leon, who made an agreement to leave Paraguayan outfit Cerro Porteno in January.

What did Paul Scholes say about Juventus star Douglas Luiz amid Man Utd’s current transfer interest in the former Aston Villa ace?
Ruben Amorim’s overhaul of the Manchester United squad is far from done and the Red Devils are expected to sign more players before the window shuts in September.
Douglas Luiz has been linked with United in recent weeks and Juventus are reportedly willing to let the 27-year-old Brazilian midfielder leave the Serie A club.
Juventus have a price tag for Douglas Luiz in mind and the United-linked player is under contract with the Old Lady until 2029, having arrived at the club in 2024.
The Italian club are believed to be keen on freeing up their wages this summer and could offload Luiz to recoup some of his transfer fees for further signings.
Juventus have been linked with Jadon Sancho and the Italian club have reportedly weighed up including former Aston Villa ace Luiz as part of a potential swap deal.
Paul Scholes openly showed his admiration for Luiz last summer when the Brazil international was linked with Juventus and completed his £42.35m transfer.
The 50-year-old United legend admitted that the Juventus midfielder was a “brilliant” player for Aston Villa and predicted that he would be a “big miss” for his former side.
Speaking alongside Jamie Carragher on The Overlap’s ‘Fan Debate’ in 2024, Scholes said: “He [Luiz] had to go for financial reasons and I think he’ll be a big miss.
“I thought he was brilliant for them. Now it’s who comes in to replace him?”

Paul Scholes’ assessment of Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz should speak volumes for Man Utd manager Ruben Amorim
United are in need of a new midfielder this summer and Amorim now has the big call over whether or not Douglas Luiz should be that player brought in for his side.
Luiz impressed during his time at Villa Park and the Brazil midfielder featured 27 times for Juventus last season, but he didn’t pick up an assist or score for his side.
Despite the questionable aforementioned numbers, Luiz has been tried and tested in the Premier League and returning to England could unlock his best potential.
That’s not to mention that Amorim has players familiar with Luiz, specifically in the Juventus player’s Brazil teammates Casemiro and summer signing Matheus Cunha.
Luiz could be the midfielder that Amorim is looking for in his tactical system and Scholes was already sold on his abilities by the time that he moved to Juventus.
