ESPN personalities Joe Buck and Malika Andrews are usually seen on television in the afternoon, but they will be seen much earlier in the day thanks to their new guest host responsibilities.
According to Front Office Sports reporter Ryan Glasspiegel, the two will make appearances on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”
“An ESPN spokesperson confirmed to Front Office Sports that Malika Andrews will be a guest co-host on the morning talk show this Saturday and Sunday, and on the GMA3 digital program next Monday. Joe Buck will also fill in on GMA from July 23-25,” Glasspiegel said.
Two of “Good Morning America’s” hosts, Michael Strahan and Robin Roberts, have sports backgrounds, with Strahan being a former defensive end and member of the Giants Ring of Honor and Roberts being a former host on multiple ESPN shows.
Both Andrews and Buck have shown themselves to be versatile in the past, with Andrews rising from reporter to host of “NBA on ESPN” and Buck not only covering football and baseball but also dabbling in other mediums, including a stint as guest host of “Jeopardy!” for a week in 2021.
The duo may not be the only people from ESPN who could make appearances on “Good Morning America.” Elle Duncan, who hosts “SportsCenter,” and Laura Rutledge, who hosts “NFL Live,” are reportedly being considered for stints on the ABC morning show.
