Watch Manchester City Women’s Director of Football Therese Sjogran reflect on the opening week of Euro 2025.
Nine different members of the City squad have been selected to represent their nation at this summer’s tournament, with incoming Head Coach Andrée Jeglertz also taking charge of Denmark.
One of those nations is Switzerland, with new signing Iman Beney impressing for the hosts during their opening two fixtures.
Elsewhere, Alex Greenwood and Vivianne Miedema both reached impressive personal milestones in their first Euro 2025 assignments, with the former earning her 100th England cap and the latter becoming the first Dutch player to 100 goals.
HOW TO WATCH CITY AT EURO 2025 THIS WEEK
“Of course, congratulations to both,” Sjogran said of Greenwood and Miedema’s centuries.
“I think it’s a really big achievement for both. I’m happy we have them at City because it means we have quality players. I wish them good luck in the tournament.”
On Beney, she added: “It’s great that she’s had this experience so early. She’s 18, playing really well, and what I like the most is she have no fear when she goes into duels.
“She’s tall but thin, so I like her energy, I like how she brings down players like [Caroline] Graha Hansen maybe for Norway. I’m happy for her.”
