Manchester United’s pre-season is now in full swing, with the Carrington training base alive with activity once again ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
The club are hoping for a fresh start under Ruben Amorim after a bitterly disappointing 2024/25 season.
A campaign which ended in heartbreak with a Europa League final defeat to Tottenham.

With players reporting back in sweltering conditions on Monday, fitness and conditioning work began in earnest, while Tuesday’s sessions introduced some exciting new narratives for fans to watch closely.
Among those missing from training were Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, and Tyrell Malacia.
All of whom have reportedly been told they are free to find new clubs this summer.
In their absence, Amorim has taken the opportunity to give some of the club’s brightest academy stars a platform to shine.
Shea Lacey, Bendito Mantato, and Reece Munro were all spotted with the senior squad during Tuesday’s on-field session.
Their presence in full first-team training is a major show of faith from the Portuguese head coach.
Now, as per official confirmation from Manchester United’s club website, the trio have each been handed new squad numbers ahead of the new season.

Shea Lacey will now wear the No. 61 shirt, after previously being registered with No. 72.
Bendito Mantato moves to No. 70 from 85.
Finally, Reece Munro takes No. 65, from 79.
This is another clear sign that Amorim and INEOS are serious about integrating youth into the core of the first team.
A long-standing tradition that has been the DNA of United.
Lacey, in particular, has been tipped for a breakout season.
These squad number changes and involvement in training could be a hint that all three will be heavily involved throughout next season.
