Leeds United are eyeing a surprise move to sign Newcastle United star Joe Willock alongside Sean Longstaff, according to Caught Offside.
The Whites have had a busy summer transfer window already after securing the arrivals of Jaka Bijol, Lukas Nmecha and Sebastian Bornauw, while a deal has been agreed for Gabriel Gudmundsson and they are closing in on a deal for Magpies star Longstaff in a £12m move.
But Daniel Farke isn't finished with strengthening his squad just yet, and a new target has now emerged for the midfield and forward positions.

Willock, who currently earns £80,000-a-week at St James' Park, struggled for regular game time in the 2024/25 season as he fell down the pecking order in both midfield and the forward positions, while he also picked up a number of injuries over the course of the campaign.
Now Newcastle are considering cashing in on the former Arsenal star as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of their Champions League campaign, and Leeds United are one of a number of clubs who have made their interest known.
Willock is also open to an exit and a fresh start elsewhere to play more regularly, and Leeds are looking to make their squad strong enough to avoid a relegation battle in their first campaign back in the Premier League.

Leeds are reportedly close to a £12m deal to sign Longstaff from Newcastle, who are open to selling as they look to raise funds with the player's sale going down as pure profit for FFP in their accounting figures.
Elland Road chiefs have also shown an interest in Newcastle goalkeeper Nick Pope this summer, but it's believed the player isn't interested in leaving the Magpies. However, now a third Newcastle player is being targeted by Leeds and it seems as though he would be keen on the move to join his midfield partner.
It's believed that Willock would likely cost around £22m, but it remains to be seen if Leeds will be willing to go that high or even firm up their interest with a formal offer.
