Manchester United’s pursuit of Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo has now reach the month mark, as the two clubs continue to negotiate over a move to Old Trafford.
Mbeumo has already expressed his desire to join the Red Devils despite their lack of European football, showing his passion for joining the club.
United are just as keen to bring him into Ruben Amorim’s squad, seeing him as a major upgrade for their attacking line-up.
Already Matheus Cunha has signed for the Red Devils, moving from Wolverhampton Wanderers for £62.5 million.

However, this has set a precedent for The Red Devils, as Brentford see Mbeumo as comparable to Cunha, and therefore want a similar fee.
United’s prior two bids haven’t been enough to get the deal across the line, with Brentford wanting around £65 million to £70 million for their star attacker.
Despite the deal now stalling, causing frustration from Mbeumo, United are still confident of getting their man.
Now, away from the transfer saga, an interesting situation is playing out with the Red Devils’ target.

Whilst the rest of the Brentford squad returned to pre-season training this week, Bryan Mbeumo was notably absent from the group.
Several players across the Premier League were given extended leave due to international duties or due to bereavement after the tragic loss of Diogo Jota last week.
However, there are no obvious reasons for Mbeumo to miss training, with the Cameroon international making the most of being told he does not have to attend this week, as reported by Sam Tabuteau.
It was thought Mbeumo would report back this Monday as he wasn’t on international duty.
The club, however, told him he won’t have to report until next Monday. https://t.co/hfiet3nfAV
