Blank Family Foundation provides grants for more Montana schools to offer girls flag football

ATLANTA — This summer, the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, in partnership with the Atlanta Falcons, provided grants to 11 Montana high schools to establish a girls flag football program for the 2025 season, a press release from AMB Sports and Entertainment detailed Tuesday.

With the addition of 11 programs, 28 Montana high schools will compete in girls flag football across the state this fall per the AMBSE press release. The full list of Montana high schools receiving grants to establish girls flag football programs this year can be found below.

Following the enthusiasm and support for the game of girls flag football in Georgia and Alabama, the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation and the Falcons worked to bring the game to Montana in 2022 given owner and chairman Arthur M. Blank’s longstanding presence and love for The Treasure State, a place he considers his second home, the AMBSE press release reported. That year, three Montana high schools participated in a girls flag football pilot program. In 2024, 17 high schools offered girls flag football as a sport for their student-athletes and that number has increased to 28 in 2025.
