Manchester United are looking at bolstering their squad this summer to avoid a disastrous display like last season as the Red Devils recorded their worst result of the Premier League era.
With a 15th place finish, missing out on European football, Ruben Amorim has a tall task ahead of him to bounce back next year.
To support him with this task, the United recruitment team have been scouting top talent for across the pitch to fit his 3-4-3 system.

Already Matheus Cunha has been signed to strengthen the attack, with the hope that Bryan Mbeumo will be joining alongside him.
However another interesting option for the Red Devils comes with the potential resigning of former left-back Alvaro Carreras.
The talented defender has had an incredible season with Benfica after making his loan move permanent for £5 million last summer.
Now, the 22-year-old is looking to be ever closer to a seemingly inevitable move to Real Madrid, with only United standing in Los Blancos’ way.

When agreeing Carreras’ move to Benfica, United included two major clauses to safeguard for his future development.
Firstly, a 20% sell-on clause, and secondly a buy-back clause of £15 million to see the defender return to Old Trafford.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has reported that United have informed Benfica they have no intention of triggering the buy-back clause, allowing for Alvaro Carreras to move to Real Madrid.
With Madrid still negotiating the deal with Benfica, it’s unknown at this time how much United will get as a windfall payment, however any funds will no doubt be greatly received at Old Trafford.
