‘We hope he comes back stronger’ — PSG’s Nuno Mendes wishes Jamal Musiala best of luck on road…

Nuno Mendes had a very good view of the situation. During Paris Saint Germain’s clash with Bayern Munich in the FIFA Club World Cup quarterfinals, he saw Michael Olise pass the ball past him before turning around seeing it all unfold: Willian Pacho and Jamal Musiala compete for the ball, Gianluigi Donnarumma charges in to join them and it ends with Musiala clutching his mangled ankle on the ground.

Speaking to reporter Kerry Hau after the match, the Portuguese international looked to highlight the situation and wish Musiala all the best in his recovery.

“It was a bad injury. We feel very sorry for him,” Mendes said, as captured by @iMiaSanMia. “He’s one of the best players and we hope he comes back stronger.”

Nobody wishes a fellow professional they have no ill feelings towards an injury. Nevertheless, it is a kind gesture from Mendes.
