Earlier this week United States soccer star Trinity Rodman sent a blunt message to someone who called her the wrong name and tried to bring up her father, former NBA star Dennis Rodman, who is absent from her life, while touting her boyfriend Ben Shelton's accomplishments during Wimbledon.
"For those who don't know...my name is TRINITY not Tiffany," she said with a crying emoji and a laughing emoji.
"Also, for Ben's matches he has his family there as his support system, which includes his dad...my dad's not even in MY life no need to bring him up during HIS matches when I don't even wanted him talked about during mine. It's him and his loved ones' moment. Thank you," she said, adding a thumbs up emoji at the end.
While she's not pleased with the media, she has nothing but love for her boyfriend, who is attempting to make a grand slam semifinal for the third time in his young career when he squares off against No. 1 seed Jannik Sinner on July 9. Ahead of the match, Rodman offered a message for her man.
"Watching you with googly eyes," she said in the message to which Shelton responded, "Why am I cheesin so big?"

Shelton has plenty of support at the tournament with Rodman, but his good luck charm is his sister Emma.
"My sister's here. She's been here for every match I've played. She's been the lucky charm. But she has work back in the U.S. starting Monday. She works for Morgan Stanley. If any of you all have some [connections] and can get her a couple extra days off so she can [stay and] we can keep this rolling, that'd be great," he joked.
She did, in fact, get to stay for another match after his comment.
Shelton will face off against Sinner at 9:30 a.m. ET on ESPN.
