Milwaukee Bucks Fans Denounce Media Silence, Giannis Antetokounmpo Agenda As They Ignore Big…

A score of think piece come out every year from several media outlets and NBA podcasts about how Giannis Antetokounmpo should leave the Milwaukee Bucks saying he is either dissatisfied or he deserves better.

Antetokounmpo, obviously, hasn’t left and that makes Bucks fans happy. However, what they are furious about is the perceived bias by the media against their team.

That feeling is getting more intense these days after reports broke out that another superstar – Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets – is not going to sign an extension this summer.

The news was broke by the Denver Post. It wrote:

Nikola Jokic has informed the Nuggets he will not sign a contract extension this offseason, team sources told The Denver Post, as the three-time MVP intends to wait until next summer to engage in contract talks.

Jokic has a minimum of two years remaining on his current supermax contract, as well as a player option for the 2027-28 season. Tuesday was the first day he was eligible for an extension that would add up to three years and an estimated $206 million to that deal.

There was indeed silence from NBA media and although the three-time MVP’s reasoning seems logical, some people should still find ways to twist it just like what they have been doing to the Bucks and the Greek Freak in the past years.

Milwaukee Bucks decry bias against Giannis Antetokounmpo

When Giannis said that he wants to win another title with the Bucks, some media personality still thought that he wants to leave. Shams Charania among them.

They should have more reason to speculate about Jokic’s future but nobody is doing that so far. This is why Milwaukee supporters are crying unfair treatment of their team and their superstar.

Need at least 4 Ringer pods tonight to discuss possible destinations for the Joker.

Remember, Giannis didn’t need to ‘wait a year’ in fall 2023 for his extension. https://t.co/XkxdTNqNzd

Cannot wait for the think piece about how Jokic is actually being a good teammate by doing this and that stars giving up money to make their team better is actually bad for the game https://t.co/l59wSxqZAc
