Bronny James' Slick Move' Grabs the NBA's Attention on Tuesday

The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to secure their second win in the California Classic Summer League games on Tuesday night. After an opening day loss to the Golden State Warriors, the Lakers bounced back with a convincing 103-83 win over the Miami Heat on Sunday.

They are back in action on Tuesday in a game against the San Antonio Spurs, which also marks Bronny James' second Summer League appearance after sitting out the Warriors game.

James grabbed the attention of the NBA with his eye-catching crossover late in the first half.

"@bronny with the nice crossover to get himself free for the bucket! 👀" the league posted on Instagram.

James left his defender in the dust at the halfway line with a "slick move," which led to the 20-year-old driving all the way to the cup for a nice deuce.

The 6-foot-2 shooting guard is looking to build on his 10-point performance against Miami, which also included two rebounds, a steal and two triples in 11 minutes of action.

Bronny James, the son of Lakers superstar LeBron James, wasn't able to establish himself as a consistent figure in head coach JJ Redick's rotation last season. While he isn't expected to be a prominent player this year, either, a strong preseason run for the former USC standout could just give Reddick something to consider.

His next chance to make some noise would be on Thursday against the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA 2K26 Summer League.

In his rookie year in 2024-25, Bronny James made 27 appearances for L.A., averaging 2.3 points in 6.7 minutes per contest.
