Marcus Rashford is costing Manchester United an “absolute fortune” and the club want him out as soon as possible.
The England international spent the second half of the season on loan at Aston Villa after making the move to Villa Park in the January transfer window.
The 27-year-old enjoyed a strong start to life with Unai Emery’s side after registering four goals and six assists in 17 appearances, but he missed the final few games of the campaign with a hamstring injury.
Rashford’s future looks set to lie away from Man United despite him returning to Old Trafford following his loan spell.
Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider the forward will cost United up to £1.75million in wages and additional costs for July alone.
Football Insider revealed on 1 July United are expecting low offers for Rashford over the coming weeks, with moving him on proving increasingly difficult due to his high wages.

Marcus Rashford is ‘very expensive liability’ for Man United
Borson insisted Rashford is a “very expensive liability” for United at this moment in time.
He told Football Insider: “I think a lot of what United are lining up is dependent on players leaving.
“Their list of priorities is number one, can we get Rashford out permanently? Because he is costing us an absolute fortune and you look at it, just think about how much that he’s going to cost just in July.
“He’s probably not going to move in July and probably wants to push it towards the end of the window.
“Just in July, the guy’s probably going to cost Manchester United £1.5-1.75million once you add on national insurance and all of the other costs that you have with a footballer.
“He’s got to train with them and he wants him out of the club, so you know he’s a very expensive liability for them right now, so they want him out.”

Watkins has emerged as a transfer target for Ruben Amorim’s side as they look to strengthen their attacking options this summer.
The 29-year-old registered 17 goals and 14 assists in 54 appearances for Villa in the 2024-25 season.
