Everton are now making significant strides in the transfer market ahead of their move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
David Moyes will be buoyed for a full season as Everton manager after returning to Merseyside, a happy reunion thus far.
And Moyes will know better than anyone that Everton will need to make attacking additions to their squad in order to compete at a higher level next season.
That being said, TBR Football exclusively revealed last week that Everton had agreed to sign Thierno Barry from Villarreal.
Barry will cost £33m including add-ons, and the 22-year-old’s arrival is already causing a lot of excitement at the club.
Everton believe Thierno Barry can become a ‘superstar’
Our chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has now provided further insight into Barry’s proposed move to Everton, a player the club believe could be a ‘superstar’.
Bailey said: “Everton think that one’s done, they think they’ve got him and they are absolutely over the moon with that.

“A lot of teams were interested in Barry but it’s now got to the point where Everton have got it over the line and they’re absolutely delighted.
“It could well be the first sign of the new stadium factor, Everton are suddenly looking like a bigger club to these players coming in. Possibly with the Friedkin Group too, Everton are a very different proposition to players as a whole now.
“I think Barry is one that’s going under the radar — Everton think they’ve got a little superstar here, they are seriously excited.
“I think he’s a cracking signing and I believe he’s due for his medical imminently, they’re flying him in.
“Everton won’t want to get too excited until he’s literally at Finch Farm holding that scarf, but it’s looking very good.”
David Moyes could now target Omari Hutchinson and Tom Fellows
Fortunately for Everton fans, the club won’t simply stop once they’ve finalised a deal for Barry.
And Bailey believed that Ipswich Town’s Omari Hutchinson and West Brom’s Tom Fellows could be two candidates to come in on the wing.
Bailey explained: “In terms of what’s next, Everton want wingers — I think Tom Fellows and Omari Hutchinson are very interesting, I think they’re under the radar as well.
“I think you could see both come in because they are very different wingers, one is inverted and one’s not, I think Moyes would love them both.
“Fellows is a bit like Ben Doak at Liverpool in terms of he beats a man, goes on the outside — good old fashioned winger.
“They’re both attainable for Everton and they could probably get them two for under £50m. So I wouldn’t rule out both of them, I really wouldn’t.”
An exciting summer for fans on Merseyside, and Everton are certainly beginning to show their ambition.
