Andrea Pinamonti could be the answer to West Ham’s woes in front of goal under Graham Potter.
The Hammers were the sixth-lowest scorers in the Premier League last season as they finished 14th in the division.
The likes of Niclas Fullkrug and Evan Ferguson were expected to solve their issues, but instead only mustered up a total of three goals between them, with the Brighton loanee failing to score at all.

West Ham approach Sassuolo over Pinamonti
The London Stadium outfit are in the market for an attacker this summer, and they may have found a solution.
Gianluca Di Marzio has reported (8 July) that the Hammers have enquired about Sassuolo forward Pinamonti.

Potter needs to get the striker search right at West Ham
The Hammers cannot afford to get it wrong in their search for a new striker again.
The East London outfit have had horrid luck when signing forwards in the modern era, and it is often labelled as a ‘curse’ for the club.
They have to be very careful recruiting a striker from Italy, as while they are trying to find the next Paulo Di Canio, who starred for the Irons between 1999 and 2003, they end up with the likes of Simone Zaza and Gianluca Scamacca.
Fullkrug and Ferguson are just the latest exports to struggle to find the net for the E20 outfit, and they need to change the trend soon, if Potter is to remain in the job.
The Hammers have been touted for relegation, and iconic commentator Ian Darke believes that Potter may be under severe pressure if he does not start the new season well.
It is a very realistic possibility that David Sullivan pulls the plug if they do not get it right in the market. Pinamonti notched 10 goals and one assist while on loan at Genoa last season, so he has shown promise as a hotshot in Italy.
It would be a risk for the Irons to invest heavily in the one-cap Italy international and may only exacerbate the ‘curse’ in the position.
Only time will tell which road this one goes down.
