After missing out on promotion to the Premier League again in 2024/25, Middlesbrough are looking to strengthen their squad during the summer transfer window.
Middlesbrough ended the previous campaign in 10th place, their lowest finish of the Michael Carrick era.
The Teessiders then opted to part ways with Carrick, appointing Rob Edwards as their new manager.
A busy summer window is now expected at the Riverside Stadium on both the incoming and outgoing fronts, so we have assembled a guide for all the deals completed by Boro, as well as the ongoing transfer rumours.

Every confirmed Middlesbrough transfer
Boro had a slow start to the 2025 summer transfer window, and are currently yet to make a first-team signing.
However, Middlesbrough confirmed their first transfer at the beginning of July, signing Owen Foster to their U21 squad.
Archie Baptiste then followed in the same week, also joining the club’s youth ranks.

Middlesbrough confirmed their retained list in May following the close of the 2024/25 season.
It was revealed that Anfernee Dijksteel would be departing as a free agent at the end of his contract.
Elsewhere, Josh Coburn has joined Millwall permanently after a loan spell with the Lions in 2024/25.

The latest Middlesbrough transfer rumours
More outgoings could follow after Coburn’s exit, with a couple of big names potentially heading towards the exit door.
We revealed previously that Hayden Hackney is changing agents and is likely to leave Middlesbrough this summer.
Elsewhere, Rav van den Berg has received transfer interest with a potential move to the Premier League mooted.
In terms of incomings, Middlesbrough want to sign a right-back as they currently have Luke Ayling as their only natural option.
Boro are interested in Ishe Samuels-Smith of Chelsea, but they face competition from fellow Championship side Stoke City.
Elsewhere, long-time Middlesbrough target Calvin Brackelmann is thought to be available for less than £1m.
