Nasser Djiga is set to become the latest player to leave Wolves this summer, with a loan move to Rangers now set to complete.
Wolves and Rangers held talks over Djiga last week, and the situation has progressed fairly quickly.
Djiga was not seen in any of the photos Wolves released from the first day of pre-season at Compton Park, indicated that his move to Scotland is imminent.
Liam Keen reported on Monday that a move for Djiga to Rangers was all ‘agreed’, so we could soon get an announcement from the two clubs.
The move comes after Djiga struggled for minutes at Wolves after joining the club at the end of the January transfer window from Red Star Belgrade.
He’s played just six times for Wanderers, and executives will now hope that he can further his development, because the feeling about him is certainly positive.

It was perhaps always going to be tricky for Djiga to break into Wolves’ starting XI after his move from Serbia.
Wolves had been struggling, and Vitor Pereira needed experienced options in his backline.

Emmanuel Agbadou came in and immediately hit the ground running, helping to transform the defence, and both Toti Gomes and Matt Doherty upped their games.
The backline became relatively settled, so opportunities for Djiga became few and far between.
But despite the decision to send Djiga out on loan after just six months, the feeling about the Burkina Faso international internally is positive.
Molineux News ‘ transfer expert Graeme Bailey tells us: “It hasn’t quite worked out for him, but they still like him as a player; they think he’s a very good player. He’s going somewhere where he’s going to get European football, and play regularly under a good manager.
“It’s a very good situation, I think, for Wolves; they’re quite happy with how it’s worked out. Is there potential for him to come back? Yes. There is also potential to sell him for a profit if he does really well. It’s a good situation for a player who wasn’t going to be in the reckoning.”
Djiga must grasp Rangers loan chance
The sample size for Djiga since he came to Wolves is very small, so it will be fascinating to see how he gets on at Rangers.
It’s a move he needs – in the six appearances he made for Wolves, he did look a little shaky, which was understandable.
This is a great move for him, with Rangers playing in a physical league, and they are obviously a huge club.
Djiga can also get stuck into European football again, after previously playing in the Champions League with Red Star.
Hopefully, he’ll return to Molineux in 2026 a much more accomplished player, and he can either be a starter for the Old Gold, or make the club a profit.
