Arsenal's summer transfer window is soaring with two major signings already in the bag - and more are on the horizon as Mikel Arteta and sporting director Andrea Berta ramp up the club's dealings.

Arteta is hell-bent on getting the Gunners back in the trophy hunt this season, fully aware that his squad needs to beef up to keep up with Premier League titans Liverpool and Manchester City.

Kepa Arrizabalaga has already made the switch from Chelsea for a cool £5million, while Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi was snapped up in a £60m deal.

The Gunners are now hot on the heels of their top targets, including Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres, who could set them back a hefty £70m. Daily Star Sport has sifted through some of the juiciest Arsenal transfer headlines and whispers,

Eberechi Eze has popped up on Arsenal's radar as their next big catch after Gyokeres, and it seems the club are finally making strides to lure the Crystal Palace ace to the Emirates, reports the Mirror.

Eze has a £60m release clause but Arsenal are balking at such a steep price tag, especially after shelling out a similar amount for Zubimendi. They're also eyeing up Gyokeres for around £70m and Christian Norgaard is on the cards for roughly £12m.

So, Arsenal are suggesting to sign Eze in three instalments of just over £20m, which would eventually tally up to his £68m release clause. The report suggests that Arsenal is Eze's top choice, but there's a chance Liverpool might "activate their long-standing interest".

One transfer that seems a sure thing at the Emirates is Brentford's midfield maestro Christian Norgaard, who's poised to join for a cool £12m.

The 31-year-old Bees' skipper has proven his mettle as one of the Premier League's most dependable midfielders and he's now set to beef up the Gunners' midfield, joining Zubimendi following the exits of Jorginho and Thomas Partey.

Norgaard netted five times and provided four assists for Brentford last season and has been a stalwart since signing from the Championship in 2019. With a total of 196 appearances and 13 goals under his belt, he'll bring some much-needed grit to Arsenal's midfield.

With a flurry of new faces at Arsenal, it's inevitable that Arteta will have to weigh up some departures to keep the books balanced.

One player who could be on his way out is forward Leandro Trossard. The Belgian striker has been linked with a move away after struggling to nail down a first team spot at Arsenal and now the club are ready to entertain offers.

Sky Sports reports that Arsenal might be open to letting Trossard go if they receive an offer in the region of £17m. Since his transfer from Brighton for a cool £27m in 2020, Trossard has proven his worth in the Gunners' squad, making 124 appearances and netting 28 goals.
