The 22-year-old started just three times in the Premier League last season, totalling only 343 minutes of league action for Pep Guardiola’s side.
After captaining England to success at this summer’s u-21 European Championship, McAtee is keen to secure regular first-team football.
Fabrizio Romano has revealed there have been enquiries from the Premier League, Bundesliga and Serie A for McAtee, with Atalanta among the clubs ‘well informed’ on his situation.
Everton and Leeds United are among the Premier League sides heavily linked with signing the midfielder. City have set an asking price of between £20m and £25m for the academy graduate.
Despite limited involvement last season, McAtee impressed. He scored seven times from just nine starts across all competitions, including a hat-trick against Salford City in the FA Cup.
