Manchester United still have big plans this summer despite stalling over the past month while in talks to sign Bryan Mbeumo.
Ineos wanted to transform Ruben Amorim’s squad this summer, with plans to sell several players and bring in a handful as well.
However, with pre-season now underway for Manchester United, there have only been two arrivals, with Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon both in training at Carrington.
It is still expected that United will still sign Bryan Mbeumo to join the first-team as an immediate starter under Amorim.
Despite having a few weeks until the tour begins, Jason Wilcox will need to accelerate things to give Amorim the best possible chance of success next season.
With United planning four more additions after Mbeumo, now interest in one name has been reaffirmed.

Manchester United among clubs keen on Tyler Dibling
This summer, United have wanted to completely revamp the attacking positions at Old Trafford, but with two arrivals and possibly four sales, Ineos will know further options will be required at some point.
Therefore, interest in Southampton’s Tyler Dibling remains despite Mbeumo and Cunha being first choices. United view Dibling as a market opportunity and if all the sales needed are completed then a move could be feasible.

Dibling is viewed as a future one of the best in the world and this explains the substantial Premier League interest. Now, with Southampton dropping their £100m price tag to between £47m and £56m, a move looks more favourable.
Tim Steidten lauds Tyler Dibling for his quality
Along with Plettenberg’s report for Sky Germany, former West Ham technical director, Tim Steidten, has heaped praise onto the winger, explaining that a move within England looks more likely.
“He is an outstanding player – with that street football mentality, that special dynamism. He is a player who can suddenly stop, turn, and accelerate again.
“His first touch is exceptional. He has immense potential. I believe he will end up being too expensive for a German club, which is why I think he will move within England.”
United scouted Dibling multiple times last season with the consensus being that he is a ‘really special’ talent who is destined for the top of the game.
Wilcox will hold an ace card in attempts to sign Dibling having worked with the wonderkid at Southampton.
