Arsenal are pushing ahead to sign Viktor Gyokeres instead of Benjamin Sesko.
The Gunners have been working really hard to sign a new striker for several months, but there is still no conclusion.
Sesko was the striker Arsenal wanted, but after a deal to sign the RB Leipzig star proved to be very difficult, Andrea Berta flew out to Lisbon to sign Gyokeres.
However, there is a suggestion now that Arsenal may have given up on Sesko a bit too early.
Arsenal could’ve negotiated more to sign Benjamin Sesko
Benjamin Sesko has been on Arsenal’s radar for over a year now.
The Slovenia international is one of the best strikers of his age in Europe, and many in the game feel he is destined to be a superstar in the coming years.
Mikel Arteta would’ve loved Sesko, but RB Leipzig refused to budge on their massive demands, and that led to Berta walking away from the deal.
Arsenal’s full focus now is on signing Gyokeres, and if that deal gets over the line, their interest in Sesko will officially be over.
However, sources at RB Leipzig, according to The Athletic, have indicated that ‘there was still room for further negotiations over both the fee and the 22-year-old’s salary’.
It remains to be seen if Arsenal will think about returning to the negotiating table for Sesko if the terms of the deal become more favourable.

Arsenal may have made a big mistake
Gyokeres is a terrific striker, and we are convinced that he is going to be a star.
The Swede has all the attributes to succeed in the Premier League, and even if he fails to score at the same rate as he did at Sporting, he can still make a massive difference.
However, Sesko is a brilliant striker as well, and Arsenal could end up with a bit of regret if he moves elsewhere and becomes a star there.
German sources claim that there was more room for negotiations — the question ‘Did Arsenal give up too soon?’ will definitely be asked if Gyokeres fails and Sesko succeeds at another club.
