Man United now keen to sign Man City target who could be available for £50m plus discount -…

Logically, most players would favour a move to Manchester City over Manchester United if given the choice — given the state of both clubs.

However, Pep Guardiola would attest to the fact that in the past, players City have targeted such as Alexis Sanchez and Fred have made the move to Old Trafford.

Manchester United remain one of the biggest clubs on the planet, with Matheus Cunha’s move to the Red Devils despite Wolves finishing above his current employers in the Premier League last season signifying that being the case.

However, Rayan Ait-Nouri named Manchester City his dream club despite their struggles during the 2024/2025 campaign which shows that players within the game hold them in high esteem.

Even Nottingham Forest defender Murillo admitted he would join Manchester City if Pep Guardiola contacted him.

West Ham United technical director Tim Steidten had good news for both Manchester clubs, predicting the 19-year-old to end up at a Premier League club due to Southampton’s asking price: “He is an outstanding player – with that street football mentality, that special dynamism.”

“He is a player who can suddenly stop, turn, and accelerate again. His first touch is exceptional. He has immense potential. I believe he will end up being too expensive for a German club, which is why I think he will move within England.”

Man City have already signed a Man United target this summer

Pep Guardiola lauded Savinho as an “incredible” talent but if Manchester City beat Manchester United and Tottenham to the signing of Dibling, he could have competition on the right flank.

With Manchester United trying to sign Rayan Cherki in 2019, Manchester City’s acquisition of the Frenchman this summer can be considered as a good omen for them in their pursuit of the youngster.

Considering Newcastle United are unwilling to sell Tino Livramento, perhaps City might go all out to secure the English wideman’s services now.
