Cunha and Diego Leon are the only new faces with the Man Utd squad, while there has been zero movement on sales.
Five players have been told not to report to Carrington as they seek a move, a memo that didn’t reach Marcus Rashford, but United need to look ahead instead of behind.
For now, that means celebrating the acquisition of Cunha and the potential impact he can have.

Now that a world-class striker is increasingly looking out of reach, the need for Cunha to repeat his Wolves exploits is greater than ever.
He will need to be helped by his teammates, most of whom wildly undershot their xG last season, to sum up a frustrating season.
The potential capture of Bryan Mbeumo will help too, who overshot his xG by almost seven last season, but United need all the help they can get.
It is a good early sign that Cunha’s finishing is already standing out after the first day of pre-season training. Now he just needs to do it in competitive games.
