Report: Arsenal now in 'pole position' to sign record-breaking Man City target who has a £60m…

Being two out of the three best teams in the Premier League, Manchester City and Arsenal perhaps have a similar shortlist of summer transfer targets.

Arsenal have shortlisted Morgan Gibbs-White, who serves as the perfect example as at one point, it seemed like he would become a City player.

However, Manchester City deemed Gibbs-White overpriced at £70 million and decided to sign Rayan Cherki as their brand-new attacking midfielder instead.

With both clubs looking to get their hands on the Premier League title next season, the summer of 2025 could single-handedly decide where the coveted trophy ends up in May next year.

Arsenal have shown the most interest out of any club to sign the 18-year-old as Mikel Arteta’s side believe he perfectly fits the profile of youngsters they have been scouting.

While Manchester United hold the same stance about Mora and reckon they could sign him at a suitable fee, the Gunners are believed to be in “pole position” to sign the Manchester City target — who became the youngest-ever debutant (15 years, eight months and nine days) in the Portuguese top-flight in 2023.

Whether Pep Guardiola’s presence among other factors can prompt the Portuguese number 10 to make a move to the Etihad Stadium remains to be seen.
