How much Bayern are willing to pay Liverpool to sign Luis Diaz this summer

Bayern Munich have drawn their battle lines amid ongoing interest expressed in Liverpool winger Luis Diaz.

The Bavarian giants have turned to the Colombian after failed pursuits of Nico Williams (22) and Bradley Barcola (22).

Vincent Kompany’s men have previously been linked with alternative Premier League targets, including Brighton’s Kaoru Mitoma and Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli.

According to our sources here at CF Bayern Insider, we understand that FC Bayern have set an upper limit on any potential bidding for Diaz. This is said to be €60m [£51.6m] plus possible bonuses attached.

It’s important to note that Bayern wish to operate with respect and care following the terrible accident that took the lives of Diogo Jota and his brother, Andre Silva, in Spain last week.

With that in mind, Bayern have decided to hold off on transfer talks with Liverpool for the time being.

Nonetheless, they are said to have informed Luis Diaz’s agent that they absolutely want to sign the attacker this summer.

What is Luis Diaz’s position on a Bundesliga transfer?

The prospect of a switch to Barcelona in La Liga has long appealed to the Colombian and, in particular, his father.

However, it’s still difficult to imagine the Catalan giants overcoming the rather significant obstacle of player registration at this stage. That’s even if they can rustle up the required fee to give Arne Slot’s Liverpool food for thought.

Bayern, on the other hand, are prepared to commit a fee. Critically, the Bundesliga champions also have assurances from Diaz that he wants to move to Munich.

So, there is a possible eventuality where the left winger trades life at Anfield for the Allianz Arena this summer.

It just remains to be seen whether FC Bayern’s upper limit and the player’s desire are enough to get the deal over the line.
