This is a Real Madrid predicted lineup for their Club World Cup semi-final clash. Los Blancos are set to take on Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain. This will be a reunion with former foe Luis Enrique who previously coached bitter rivals Barcelona.
Real Madrid Predicted Lineup vs Paris Saint-Germain for Club World Cup Tie
How Real Madrid Have Lined Up Recently
Thibaut Courtois has been ever-present in goal. Also nailed-on starters are Dean Huijsen, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Fran Garcia in the back line. Raul Asencio, Antonio Rudiger, and Aurelien Tchouameni have come in to play in the back line either as a back four or a back five, depending on the setup.

Tchouameni has also stepped into midfield where he usually partners Federico Valverde and Jude Bellingham. Arda Guler has worked his way into a starting spot recently, first from a shift to a back five and now as a midfield three with Bellingham isolated behind the front two.

That front two is Vini Jr. and tournament breakout Gonzalo Garcia. They were initially part of a front three with Rodrygo but he has since been dropped from the starting rotation. Star man Kylian Mbappe has also missed a lot of time due to illness which opened the door for Garcia to come in and play regularly.
Real Madrid Recent Form & Tactics
Xabi Alonso has been something of a tinkerman since taking over. He started out with a 4-3-3 before moving to his more familiar 3-5-2 from Bayer Leverkusen, he then made an alteration to play a 4-3-1-2 of sorts against Borussia Dortmund. The tactical switches have resulted in some sluggish performances from a team trying to settle on an identity.

Los Blancos have made it this far in a very unconvincing manner. They have regularly been dominated and faced a slew of shots or been lucky that their clinicality was enough to see off games. The 3-2 win over Dortmund was an interesting one that saw them lose the possession battle but prove ruthless on the ball. They kept back-to-back clean sheets with a back three but as soon as it changed they went back to letting goals in.
Real Madrid Absences to Consider
It’s still a headache for Alonso and it got worse at the end of their last match. Huijsen was sent off and will now add to his defensive woes. The former Bournemouth man joins David Alaba, Ferland Mendy, Eduardo Camavinga, and Endrick on the sidelines.
