Victor Osimhen is looking all set to make his temporary loan spell with Galatasaray permanent, as the Turkish side close in on securing his future.

The Nigeria international was sent on loan from Napoli, with Antonio Conte not seeing the striker as part of his long-term plans, ultimately being an immensely successful move for Osimhen and Galatasaray.

With 37 goals and eight assists in 41 games, Osimhen was a key driver to helping the Istanbul-based side with the Super Lig yet again, and claiming the Turkiye Kupasi for the Turish domestic double.

Now, Manchester United are going to miss out on another one of their shortlisted strikers as Galatasaray have agreed with Napoli to pay his £65 million release clause.

Personal terms were reportedly already sorted, with Victor Osimhen making Napoli aware of his desire to remain in Turkey, however, the details of his contract are now emerging.

Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that Victor Osimhen has agreed to a four year contract with Galatasaray that will see him earn around £14 million per season.

It’s understood that the deal is all in place, just waiting for the documentation to go through before Osimhen can officially be announced as a permanent signing.

Unfortunately for United this marks another key talent they’ve missed out on this summer due to their lack of funds or European football.

Whilst Ruben Amorim has previously commented that he only wants players who are passionate about playing for United and not the lure or European football, the truth is the top talents want to be playing on the top stages.

As such, The Red Devils have missed out on Liam Delap with his move to Stamford Bridge and are now set to miss out on Viktor Gyokeres, Richard Rios and now Victor Osimhen.
