In most seasons a new goalscoring threat tends to emerge for Arsenal U18s and there is a feeling that this campaign Marley Frohock could find the net with regularity at that level.
The likes of Andre Harriman-Annous and Louis Zecevic John are still eligible to play for the U18s but it is anticipated that they could mainly be involved with the U21s depending on what happens with other players.
If such a scenario occurs then Frohock, who joined Arsenal as an U14 player and has now progressed to scholarship terms, could be a regular starter up front for Adam Birchall’s team.
Frohock can also play out wide if required and was involved with the U18s in pre-season last year before making his competitive debut against Norwich City.
A skilful player who makes clever runs, Frohock helped Arsenal U16s to win the Premier League Cup last season and scored against Chelsea in the final.
There have been suggestions that Arsenal could look to bring in another striker who could play at U21 or U18 level, which may impact Frohock’s game time.
However, the 16-year-old will be determined to show that he can be relied upon to play a major part for the U18s.
