On Tuesday, TuttoSport reported Manchester United and Juventus were set to have a telephone call regarding a potential transfer for Jadon Sancho.
The intention behind the chat was to iron out some details, with the Red Devils not putting up any resistance to the player’s sale.
TuttoSport provide an update today and state the call took place. Now, ‘everyone is waiting’ to close the deal, and further talks will take place in the coming days.
The Turin newspaper further state: ‘There’s a general okay, almost a virtual handshake.’
Sancho’s willingness to join Juventus has proven key during talks, with the player aware that he will have to reduce his wage demands to join the Old Lady.
It’s believed he has a desire to be a star again and believes that Juve will provide him with a platform. That is also why Igor Tudor wants him to be part of his squad as soon as possible, with the Old Lady keen on making him a central part of their project.
