Player significantly reduces demands after Fulham exit – Trying to get move he wants

Carlos Vinícius is prioritising a move to Corinthians after leaving Fulham, and has significantly reduced his financial demands in a bid to make the transfer happen.

According to [Bola Vip](https://br.bolavip.com/amp/corinthians/carlos-vinicius-da-prioridade-ao-corinthians-e-aceita-ganhar-menos-de-r-1-milhao-mes-e-sem-luvas) and [90min Brazil](https://www.90min.com/pt-br/carlos-vinicius-quer-jogar-corinthians-e-topa-reduzir-pedida-salarial), the striker sees the Brazilian club as the “opportunity of his life” and is now willing to earn less than R$1m (roughly £150k) per month – without any signing-on bonus.

The 30-year-old recently ended his spell in English football, where he made 31 Premier League appearances for Fulham.

Despite having offers on the table, he is currently focused on joining the club he supports and has told Corinthians he will not engage with other options until a final decision is made by their board.

Vinícius and his representatives spoke directly with Corinthians’ director of football and agreed to lower the initial salary proposal – which had started at around R$ 1.2 million (around £200k/pm).

The forward’s flexibility is driven by his desire to re-establish himself in Brazil after seven years abroad.

He also contacted defender André Ramalho, a former PSV teammate now at Corinthians, to understand more about the current environment at the club. The feedback appears to have reinforced his motivation to join.

Having spent most of his career in Europe – including spells in Portugal, Italy, France, the Netherlands and Turkey – Carlos Vinícius had only short stints at Caldense and Grêmio Anápolis before leaving Brazil in 2017.

His return would come at no transfer cost, as he is currently a free agent.

A one-season deal is being discussed, though the club remains cautious with spending. Still, the player’s willingness to sacrifice financially and his emotional ties to Corinthians could prove decisive.

A final decision from the club is expected soon.
