£13M ‘bid made’ for former Chelsea wonderkid – Leeds United set to replace Manor Solomon

Leeds United fans fell in love with Manor Solomon this past season. The Spurs loanee left quite an impression on the Elland Road faithful.

Last summer, Daniel Farke complained about the lack of signings before the transfer window closed. Leeds then brought in a bunch of new faces. But Farke had a hand in some of the signings, particularly Manor Solomon and Ao Tanaka. The Leeds boss used his connections in Germany to bring in the Japanese international who won the club’s Players’ Player of the Year award at the end of the season.

Manor Solomon also joined on loan from Spurs, after missing months of football in 2024 due to injury. He revealed that Farke was a big part of why he chose to come to West Yorkshire:

Solomon ended last season with 10 goals and 12 assists, with the most important contribution coming on the final day of the season. The winger scored the winner as Leeds lifted the Championship. Unfortunately, he returned to Spurs after his loan, with reports that he will remain in London this summer.

Leeds are now eyeing a winger to add to their attack ahead of next season. And according to Africa Foot, that player is Jeremie Boga of Nice. The report claims that the Whites have tabled a £13million bid for the 28-year old.

The winger is also attracting interest from Turkish clubs this summer.

Boga deal falls in line with summer business

So far this summer, Leeds United have not spent more than £20million on a single player. The club have set out to add high quality targets on attainable fees. Left back Gabriel Gudmundsson arrived on Tuesday night for just £10million, and is expected to be first choice next season.

All four signings have been of good value from top European leagues, and Jeremie Boga ticks that box.

28-year old brings interesting wide player profile

Boga is an interesting player – majority of his actions involve picking the ball up and dribbling past the opponent. He is not adept infront of goal, but he is very good at creating.

Dan James and Wilfried Gnonto have added goals to their game, and Largie Ramazani looks like another who could follow. But for Boga, he picks up the ball to dribble and progress the play. Leeds could need someone like him during counter attacks next season.
