With Multi Club Ownership now being the norm within the Premier League, [West Ham](https://www.claretandhugh.info/west-ham-need-to-find-40m-by-next-week/) seem to be trailing behind their competitors. Although West Ham Share holder Daniel Kretinsky also owns Czech powerhouse Sparta Prague, there is no active collaboration between the two clubs at youth or senior level.

Here’s a breakdown of how other Premier League teams are structured under multi club ownership:

Arsenal – Kroenke Sport and Entertainment- Colorado Rapids (MSL)

Aston Villa – V Sports – Victoria SC (Portugal), Real Union (Spain)

Bournemouth – BlackKnight Football Club – Lorient (France), Auckland FC (New Zealand), Hibernian (Scotland) and Moreirense (Portugal)

Brentford – Best Intention Analytics – Merida AD (Spain)

Brighton – Royal Union Saint Gillloise (Belgium) and Hearts (Scotland)

Burnley – ALK Capital – RCD Espanyol (Spain)

Chelsea- BlueCo – Strasbourg (France)

Everton – The Fridekin Group – AS Roma (Italy)

Crystal Palace – Eagle Football Holdings – Olympique Lyon (France) while David Blitzer co-owner has a stake in Brondby (Denmark)

Fulham – Not a multi club ownership model

Leeds United – 49ers Enterprises – Rangers (Scotland)

Manchester City – City Football Group – Girona FC (Spain), Palermo FC (Italy), Troyes (France) , Melbourne City (Australia),  Lommel SK (Belgium), Montevideo City Torque (Uruguay), Bahia (Brazil), Club Bolivar (Bolivia), Yokohama  F Marinos (Japan), Shenzhen Peng City FC (China), Mumbai City FC (India) and NYCFC (USA)

Manchester United – Ineos Group – Nice (France)

Newcastle United – Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund – no other clubs currently owned

Nottingham Forest – Evangelos Marinakis – Olympiacos (Greece)

Sunderland- majority owner Kyril Louis Dreyfus has a 5% stake in Marseille (France)

Tottenham – ENIC Group – divested stakes in other clubs

West Ham – Daniel Kretinsky with his 27% stake in West Ham places him in a position where he has influence over both Sparta Prague and the Hammers.

Wolves – Fosun International- no other clubs currently owned.

Despite the prevalence of these multi-club networks, such as Bournemouth and Chelsea, who actively share their resources and development pathways with their feeder clubs – West Ham remain an outlier, missing a potentially powerful strategic tool.

When Daniel Kretinsky was introduced as a minority shareholder, the assumption was that some ‘mutually beneficial’ connection would follow with the other club in his stable, Sparta Prague. It is a real head-scratcher why no progress has been made to find a mutually advantageous relationship between West Ham and the Czech side.
