Ex Leicester Men in Chelsea’s Amazing Cup Campaign, Celtic, Juventus and Sevilla Waiting On…

What a change of schenes. It looks so far away and long ago, but a year back they were celebrating promotion from the Championship. A few weeks later they were signed by Chelsea.

Earlier in the year, Enzo Maresca led Chelsea to the Europa Conference League title. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was an important player in this competition. He was a front figure in that team, scoring vital goals in the rounds. In the final match, he came on during the latter minutes. He provided the assist for the final goal in this dominant 4-1 win.

Yesterday became a special night for the two former Leicester men, reaching the final of the FIFA Club World Cup. They defeated Brazilian team Fluminense 2-0 with a storming performance. They will play either PSG or Real Madrid in the final, coming up on Sunday the 13th of July.

Two other former Leicester players, Ben Chilwell and Wesley Fofana, are not included in the squad. They are not participating in the FIFA Club World Cup tournament. Fofana is absent due to injuries. Chilwell is not in future plans at the club. He spent half of last season at Crystal Palace.

Brendan Rodgers and Celtic are near an agreement for a certain player to return to Parkhead. They aim to sign the more or less unused Leicester loan man Odsonne Eduaourd. Eduoard (27) became a strange addition to the Leicester squad last season, more or less overlooked. His previous spell at Celtic was a huge success. He was also doing well at Crystal Palace. He had a good goalscoring track record in Premier League. This made Leicester interested, bringing him in on loan last season.

Juventus are said to be in a leading position to win the race for Wilfred Ndidi. Ndidi (28) is said to have a release clause in his contract, said to be available for £9million. Ndidi is reported back at pre-season training with Leicester as they prepare for next season.

Bouba Soumare is said to be wanted back at Sevilla. He spent a season on loan at the Spanish club. He played 28 league games for them in the 2023/24 season. He returned to Leicester in front of last season, being more or less a trusted player adding up 31 league appearences last term. In total Soumare (26) has played 65 league games for Leicester, all in Premier League.

Joshua Sargent has softly been linked to Leicester. Leeds and Burnley are other clubs seen in the chase for the Norwich forward being more or less certain to leave The Canaries this summer. Leicester will be waiting for a new manager to bring the correct number of transfers in and out.
