Dak Prescott, quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, recently touched on wide receiver CeeDee Lamb’s contract holdout in the 2024 NFL season. Lamb famously did not participate in any of the offseason workouts with the team in the previous football season, since he wanted a bigger and better contract with the team. The wide receiver only signed his contract after the training camp ended, much to the relief of his peers and Cowboys fans.
Prescott, who has struck up a close friendship with Lamb during his time with the Dallas Cowboys, compared the wide receiver’s performance before and after he got his deserved contract. Dallas Cowboys insider Jon Machota, tweeted Prescott’s remarks through a tweet.
“It’s not even comparable to last year. Credit this past trip that we just had for one, but you’ve got to credit the offseason and the lack of contract negotiations. So, he even alluded to that just in some conversations about how much better it feels, him being involved. It’s a business. Last year, nothing was personal from anybody, but he wanted to be involved. (Now) you can see what it’s doing for him, his energy, his leadership, his growth.” Jon Machota wrote in his tweet about Dak Prescott’s comments on wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.

It is popularly known that starting quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb are both strong pillars of the team. This year, Lamb will look up to George Pickens on the other end as the team tries their best to get closer to the Lombardi trophy when compared to their last season.

Dak Prescott Will Be Ready In Time For Training Camp
On another note, Dak Prescott recently gave a much-needed injury update regarding his hamstring. The quarterback said in a press conference that although he has not been given the green signal yet in terms of his hamstring injury, he is sure that he is good to go for the training camp.
“Yeah, I’ll be a full go for camp. I’m healthy, yeah. I think soon here I’ll probably get an official sign off from doc.”Dak Prescott said in the press conference as reported by Jon Machota on his X account.

Dak Prescott severely injured his hamstring in the 2024 NFL season in a game against the Atlanta Falcons. The injury essentially ruled him out for the rest of the season. Prescott’s sidelining, of course, meant that the Cowboys were doomed and the team made it nowhere near the playoffs.
