Watch: Joao Pedro scores two outrageous goals for Chelsea at Club World Cup after rejecting…

**The Newcastle United fanbase was fairly divided when it came to how they felt about missing out on João Pedro this summer.**

Newcastle looked to be winning the race to sign the young Brazilian until Chelsea came in and barged the Magpies out of the way, sealing a £60 million move for the controversial striker.

The Magpies had identified Joao Pedro as the perfect foil for Alexander Isak and had waited patiently to strike, but perhaps they waited _too_ patiently, allowing Chelsea ample time to muscle in and get the job done.

Due to his disciplinary issues, many Newcastle fans were relieved that the Magpies had missed out on the 23-year-old, but they may be second-guessing themselves after seeing what he did last night at the Club World Cup.

João Pedro did not celebrate either of his goals in the Club World Cup semi-final

João Pedro was handed his first Chelsea start in the Club World Cup semi-final against his boyhood club, Fluminense.

It may have been his boyhood club, but it didn't stop Pedro from scoring two sensational goals to send Chelsea into the final at their expense. Although he did refuse to celebrate both times he scored.

The first goal came in the first half and was a stunning curling effort from the edge of the box, perfectly placed into the side netting beyond the reach of the keeper.

We can't help feeling a little bit like we missed out

Pedro's second came after a driving run starting on the left flank and cutting into the box before powering a shot in off the bar.

Granted, it's just one game, but it did sting a little bit seeing what he can do and thinking about how he could have been doing it for Newcastle.

PSG and Real Madrid will face off tonight to see who will join Chelsea in Sunday's final.
