Philadelphia Needs Breakout Efforts from Three Eagles in 2025

The Philadelphia Eagles are loaded up with one of the NFL's best rosters. It is dotted with a Pro Bowl-caliber player (or two, or three) at almost every position group. Oh, and they are supervised by a coaching staff that — while sometimes maligned — is fresh off a Super Bowl win that serves as proof that it knows how to work with that talent.

But ...

Just because Philadelphia inarguably boasts a Super Bowl-caliber roster doesn't mean every question has been solved and doesn't mean there aren't Eagles who need to make 2025 leaps.

This will end up being one of the youngest rosters in the game, and we've pinpointed three of the Eagles who, as they prepare for a title defense in 2025, need breakout efforts to fulfill their individual and team goals. To wit ...

Jahan Dotson. Dotson will always have limited targets in an offense with A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert. He knows it. The organization knows it.

But ...

If he wants to be known as a dependable player here, the Eagles need to see Dotson find a comfort level with the WR3 job. Any consistent form of production could be a game-changer for Philly.

Jordan Davis. Davis, talented as he is, has struggled throughout his early career to be an every-down player. He may not have been considered a pass rusher dating back to college, but Philadelphia needs to see more from their former first-round pick.

Kelee Ringo. For the first time in his three-year career, former Georgia Bulldogs cornerback Kelee Ringo is being given a chance to be a full-time starting player this season. He has shown spurts of success in limited action, but the Eagles will need to see if he can handle being an every-down player in 2025.

To be fair to the Eagles, the good news is that this is a short list of "jump-out need'' guys. But if this trio steps up? The Eagles are all that more likely to step back into another Super Bowl.
