According to Marc Stein of The Stein Line, the Clippers’ cap management has opened the door for them to pursue Beal, pending a buyout from the Phoenix Suns, and also bring back Chris Paul.
Currently, the Clippers are $8.9 million under the first-apron hard cap and have three open roster spots to fill.
During the 2024–25 season, Beal averaged 17.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game while shooting nearly 50% from the field and 38.6% from three-point range.

Chris Paul, who played all 82 games for the San Antonio Spurs last season, contributed 8.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 7.4 assists per game.
The veteran point guard is no stranger to LA — he was the face of the Clippers from 2011 to 2017, leading the "Lob City" era alongside Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan.
During his time with the franchise, Paul was a five-time All-Star and helped elevate the Clippers to consistent playoff contenders.
