Everton have discovered the date for their first competitive game at Hill Dickinson Stadium. The match will take place on Sunday, August 24 at 2pm (BST).
The Blues will welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to their new state-of-the-art facility on that day. Everton start their Premier League campaign the Monday before (August 18) against Leeds United at Elland Road.
Everton men's team played their final match at Goodison Park back in May, bringing an end to a 134-year association with the famous stadium. The club's women's team will move into Goodison for the 2025-26 campaign.
The Blues will play a friendly against AS Roma on Saturday, August 9. There will also be a legends game taking place straight after, with Fabio Capello and Peter Reid confirmed as guest managers.
It has already been a busy summer for Everton as they build up to life at the new stadium. Key players Idrissa Gueye and Jarrad Branthwaite have agreed new contracts, as have club captain Seamus Coleman and Michael Keane.
The Blues have already completed a permanent deal for Carlos Alcaraz after triggering the £12million clause in last season's loan agreement. They are also close to agreeing a deal for Thierno Barry, who is set to join in an initial £27.5million switch from Villarreal.
